London has once again dominated the Fashion Schools Rankings, with five schools featuring in the top 10, more than any other city in the world. Central Saint Martin’s has retained number one spot in the rankings that look at three key factors; learning experience, influence and value.
Also featured in the world’s top 10 are London College of Fashion (2), Kingston University (4), and Royal College of Art (10). Also in the top 10 is Instituto Marangoni, one of Italy’s top design school which has a campus in central London (8). University of Westminster and Ravensbourne also feature amongst the world’s best, coming in at 11th and 20th respectively.
WardrobeTrendsFashion, creators of the list, state that the Fashion Schools Rankings ‘are designed to help prospective students navigate the increasingly complex global fashion education landscape.’
London has a long history of developing some of the world’s most renowned fashion designers with Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen an example of just some of London’s former students. These rankings suggests that this is a trend set to continue.
