New University Teaching and Learning Facilities

Clinical Skills Centre at City University LondonNew buildings and public spaces seem to be everywhere you look in London this Olympic year.

The city has some impressive new train stations, shopping centres, art galleries, parks, skyscrapers and lots of sports facilities of course! London’s universities are also busy building new facilities and investing in your future.

Nursing Simulation

City University London recently opened their clinical skills centre (pictured) that allows nursing and midwifery students to practice their practical skills. Students can experience working in a simulated hospital environment before they begin their hospital work placement.

Sports Performance

Middlesex University have been investing in a new hi-tech sports hub for students, researchers and elite athletes. The Human Movement Lab uses the latest technologies such as motion analysis and ultrasound imaging to collect a wide range of data to boost an athlete’s performance.

Classrooms, Lecture Theatres and Libraries

Of course, most students will spend the majority of their time in lecture theatres and libraries. But fear not, for you too will also be able to enjoy new facilities. Both Kingston University and Royal Holloway, University of London have recently invested in new business schools. This gives you the chance to enjoy features such as dedicated breakout rooms, research offices and working pods that encourage teamwork.

New Student Centre

Meanwhile, the London School of Economics is busy building its new Students’ Centre ready for 2013. The new centre will be home to the Students’ Union and will include a music venue, pub, learning cafe, exercise studio, roof terrace, fitness centre, media centre and student advice centre. There will also be a careers service and a multi-faith prayer centre for School’s students, who come from an amazing 130 different countries.

Beautiful Art and Design Campuses

We have already mentioned the amazing new University of the Arts London Campus that opened earlier this year. In addition Ravensbourne opened their amazing new campus next to the Olympic Park last year. The specialist digital technology to design and communication college has inspiring spaces for lectures, exhibitions, showcases and conferences, housing the latest digital audio, projection and presentation facilities.

Students can use the college’s very own six-channel HD TV studio, a four-channel studio, HD Virtual studio, and Dolby Surround Sound Studio. Impressive! Watch the student made video tour below.

    Please kindly help me with this information. Is LSBF Manchester approved institution accredited to enroll courses on ACCA/CIMA? Do UKBA issue tier4 visa for the ACCA/CIMA courses? what is the length to process a study tier4 visa in UKBA,Nigeria? I was told i have to have 7200 pounds for maintenance for 1year programme before i can able to apply for tier4 visa. please kindly reply me! thanks.
