Student life at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

We’ve teamed up with Loughborough University London to find out the best deals for students on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. Take a look at the hand-picked student discounts not to miss.

One for the thrill seekers

Since it’s opening in June 2016, The ArcelorMittal Orbit slide has welcomed tens of thousands of visitors desperate to try the world’s biggest tunnel slide. Now students can enjoy £4 off the standard ticket price when booking in advance – just remember to take your student ID card with you on the day.

Olympic facilities at student-friendly prices

If you’re accustomed to life in London, you’ll know that the cost of a gym membership doesn’t come cheap. But with a Better Student Health and Fitness membership, you can access a state-of-the-art gym at the Copper Box Arena and world-class swimming facilities at the London Aquatics Centre for just £36 per month. What’s more, you are not tied into a contract and there’s no joining fee!

Did somebody say chicken?!

If you love chicken, you’ll love Monday nights at Randy’s Wing Bar. From 6pm, you can enjoy unlimited wings for just £12!

Fish Fridays at Shane’s

Shane’s on Canalside is the perfect place to enjoy classic British dishes with an added touch of finery. We love their Friday food offer of mussels, fries and a glass of rosé for just £12, although students can enjoy 25% off food and drinks on any weekday between 11am and 5pm.

A night of culture

Take a mate to Stratford Picture House to see the best in theatre, dance and opera for just £10. Upcoming shows include Hamlet live from the National Theatre, Black Sabbath’s ‘The End of the End’ Final Tour production, and The Nutcracker live from the Royal Opera House.
