New London Website for Chinese Students


A new website has been launched to promote London to Chinese students.

The Mandarin website is the first-ever official Chinese-language, London-focused promotional website.

Student services include application advice for Chinese candidates, as well as a full profile of every London university, including facts, testimonials and image galleries.

London has more international students than any other city in the world. The city is home to 110,000 international students from more than 200 countries. This equates to 25% of the total London student population.

The number of Chinese students studying in London has increased with a record 15,000 last year, up by 12% from the year before.

London has one of the largest and most diverse higher education sectors in the world with universities located throughout the city, offering more than 30,000 courses from accountancy to zoology and everything in between.

London is at the cutting edge of innovation and creativity, whether it is in business, fashion, design, art or science.

London is home to four of the world’s top 40 universities – more than any other city in the world. In total, there are nine universities in the Global Top 300, including Imperial College London (10); UCL (21); LSE (32); King’s College London (38); Royal Holloway, University of London (102); Queen Mary, University of London (114); Birkbeck, University of London (200-225); St George’s, University of London (201-225) and Brunel (251-275).

Looking beyond the rankings, London is also home to world-class specialist universities, including the Royal College of Art; London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; London Business School; Central Saint Martins and the Royal Academy of Music.
